FAQ's
1 / What exactly is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a guided practice that uses intentional breathing patterns to regulate your nervous system, reduce stress, increase clarity, and reconnect you to your body.
2 / Is Breathwork like Meditation?
Not quite. Meditation focuses on stillness and awareness, while breathwork actively uses your breath to shift your physical and emotional state — often much faster.
3 / I've never done Breathwork before, is that ok?
Absolutely. Most people in class are beginners. You’ll be guided the entire time and can go at your own pace.
4 / What happens in a class?
You’ll lie down or sit comfortably, be guided through specific breathing techniques, and finish with grounding and integration. Music will be used to support the experience.
5 / I’m stressed but not “spiritual” - is this still for me?
Yes. Breathwork is science-based nervous system regulation. You don’t need to be spiritual — just willing to breathe.
6 / I’m a busy parent/professional. Will this actually help with daily stress?
Yes. Many people come to Breathwork classes because they’re juggling a lot. Breathwork helps lower cortisol, improve sleep, and increase patience and emotional regulation.
7 / Is Breathwork safe?
For most healthy adults, yes. However, it may not be suitable for people who are pregnant, have epilepsy, severe cardiovascular conditions, or certain mental health conditions. A health form will be completed before attending.
8 / What if I feel emotional?
That’s normal. Breathwork can release stored stress and emotion. You’re always in control and supported.
9 / What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can relax in. Think gym gear or loungewear.
10 / Do I need to bring anything?
Just water and an open mind. Mats and props are usually provided.
11 / Should I eat before class?
A light meal 1–2 hours before is ideal. Avoid heavy meals right beforehand.
